Known in the 1840s as Stubb's Eddy, today's Village East of Davenport is rich in heritage, as well as in numerous shops and restaurants unique to the area. Village East is located at end of Kimberly Road East and south on Jersey Ridge Road. In 1980, the federal government added the area to the National Registry of Historic Places. Address: E. Heritage Hill National Historic District is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Burlington, contains around 150 homes of architectural or historic significance. While touring the area, people can see a range of building styles, including Greek Revival, Victorian, Queen Anne and Georgian, most of which were constructed between 1870 and 1900.
